Oferta Laboral

Un blog que además de ofrecer conocimiento y avisos de conferencias, también incluye oportunidades laborales es algo a lo que estar subscripto, así que ¿Por qué no hacerlo si es gratis? Íngresa tu mail a la derecha de la pantalla y ya está.

Vamos a la oportunidad laboral de hoy, obviamente yo no tengo nada que ver que esta oportunidad y no puedo dar consejo ni ofrecer garantías de ningún tipo. De hecho, la oportunidad fue copiada del site de SCIP, aunque si algún lector del blog es seleccionado me debe una cena en el John Hancock Center de Chicago (ahí es la oportunidad) la comida de ahí no es genial, pero la vista no tiene precio, lo que si tiene precio caro (me han contado porque yo siempre voy invitado por alguien ;)) es la cuenta, pero eso no será nada si es que son elegidos para este puesto ;):

Library Associates Companies (LAC) seeks for immediate consideration a Director of Competitive Intelligence (CI), Latin America, for a dynamic and instrumental position in a leading pharmaceutical company located in the Chicago suburbs.



RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the competitive intelligence initiative for the Latin America Division of the company by monitoring, understanding, and quantifying strategies, results, and expected future actions of competing organizations.

• Serve as the project manager for collection and synthesis of qualitative & quantitative competitive data, and meets proactively with key business stakeholders to deliver intelligence in support of high-priority management decisions and/or defined key information topics.

• Maintain competitive information.

• Participate in long-range and annual strategic planning.

• Contributing to business development and licensing projects.

• Responsible for market analysis, monitoring competitive activity, and identifying customer needs in the evaluation of new initiatives and business opportunities.

• Provide leadership in the planning, designing and implementing of business plans.

• Understand internal clients’ commercial needs and defines key intelligence topics related to the Company’s competitive situation.

• Undertake primary and secondary CI research, and synthesizes findings into commercially relevant intelligence in support of high-priority corporate decisions.

• Monitor all relevant sources of market information to provide early warning to business stakeholders’ of potential critical threats to the business.

• Ensures that key decision makers understand competitors’ capacities and intentions on a tactical and strategic level.

• Develop predefined standards to ensure legal and ethical approaches to CI protecting business interests and confidentiality.

• Assist in providing and maintaining access to electronic databases and other sources of electronic knowledge of value

• Proactively plans CI opportunity and risk, SWOT analysis, war gaming, pre-launch planning and other strategic analyses at various stages of the 'product life-cycle'.

• Manage the design end execution of models employed in business development initiatives.

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with an advanced degree in business or science strongly preferred

• 10+ years of relevant experience depending on degree including 5 years competitive intelligence experience preferably within the Pharmaceutical industry

• Background to include previous supervisory responsibility and international experience preferably in Latin America

• Broad knowledge and experience with the information technology used for searching, delivering and sharing of information and intelligence as well as building and maintaining competitor, disease area, and technology landscapes

• Familiarity with major data collection and analysis techniques, including ability to define business questions, generate hypotheses, design research approaches and instruments, interview, and perform secondary research

• Highest commitment to undertaking CI in accordance with applicable laws and a corporate code of conduct

• Strong relationship management and influencing skills and comfort working with cross-functional teams

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Must be fluent in Spanish/English with Portuguese highly desirable

• Ability to travel domestically and internationally required (up to 50%)
